 STUNNING ANTIQUE GERMAN CANISTER SET ~ $200.00 I love these gorgeous antique canister sets and they are not as easy to find as they once were. This particular set is really beautiful! This set consists of four large canisters and three smaller matching spice jars. This is a German or similar origin set as you can see due to the lettering on the fronts of the canisters. I don't know what they all mean, but some of them are recognizable. Each canister and jar has a rectangular lid with worn gold trim and beautiful pink and red rose bouquets on the fronts. This set is in great condition for its age. They are free from any chips or cracks for the most part. I did see two very faint hairline cracks on two of the lids that can barely be seen and one hairline crack in the bottom of one of the spice jars. As mentioned above, the gold trim is worn and you can see wear on one of the rose bouquets on one of the larger canisters. The large canisters measure 8" tall with the lids on and they are 5" wide and 4 1/4" deep. The smaller spice jars stand 4.5" tall and they are 2 3/4 x 2 3/4". They are not marked on the bottoms, but they are definitely old as many pieces were not marked before about 1930.
