 ONE OF A KIND VICTORIAN CHERUB LAMP ~ $175.00 *On Sale ~ $150.00* This lamp is simply incredible and a must have if you love old shabby style lighting fixtures gracing your romantic home. This breathtaking table lamp has all of the best features including a fabulous ornate Victorian fringe shade, sparkling prisms, adorable old cherubs and ornate embossed flowers and scrolls and a base second to none. This lamp has a gorgeous old original Victorian fabric shade with tons of beautiful fringe on the top and bottom all trimmed in gimp trim. The fabric on this shade is floral with roses and leaves that have a French tapestry look. The inside of the shade is pink and notice the design of the shade with it's tall narrow top and larger bottom. I love the design of the shade on the bottom with the flowing oval pieces and trim. Below the shade sits a beautiful combination of old chippy paint, curved arms and sparkling old teardrop crystal prisms. One of the only flaws on this lamp is that it is meant to have four arms, but it has three. The three arms are perfectly situated around the front of the lamp so the missing arm is on the very back side and will never be missed. I did not even notice this flaw until it was pointed out to me. The middle of this lamp gets even better with two fabulous shabby cherubs painted in a soft pale pink. They have flowing fabric around them and one is holding a torch in his hand. Flowers and scrolls lay at their feet and the the base has more scrollwork with beautiful flowers and a great worn patina. This lamp is made out of very heavy metal. I am not sure if it came with this paint on it or if it was painted by someone, but the paint job is old and chippy in places. It is perfectly "shabby" to me! It is in wonderful working order and great condition with no real flaws except for the missing arm. The rest is just shabby paint loss. The lamp shade does have some soiling on it due to age. You should be able to see it in the pictures. You may be able to clean it. There is abit of soiling on the very top on the inside of the pink fabric near the edge. Still, it displays beautifully for a unique old lamp despite the wear on the shade. The lamp is very large and heavy and stands about 44" to the top of the shade. The shade itself is 11.5" across the top and 19.5" across the bottom. It stands about 24" tall so it is a lovely large shade. The actual lamp is 28.5" high to the top of the light socket, 7 1/4" across on the base and 10" across on the curved metal arms. I do not know the exact date of this lamp, but it is old and waiting to be enjoyed by a true romantic!
