 ENCHANTING ANTIQUE J. KNOWLES HARE LADY PRINT ~ $65.00 J. Knowles Hare (1884 - 1947) is one of my all time favorite artists from the late Victorian era and this print is just a beauty. This antique print features a stunning lady dressed in a beautiful blue gown with a romantic plunging necklace. There are violets placed at her bosom and she has the most delicate, pretty facial features that you will ever see. Most of the ladies in J. Knowles Hare's works of art were modelled after his wife, Gladys Granger. His work was well known on many major magazine covers such as Saturday Evening Post, Modern Priscilla, Ladies Home Journal, Harper's Weekly and many more. This print is framed under glass in a very old wooden frame that has some wear here and there including a few chips. It measures 11.5 x 9.5" and has a small wire on the back for hanging. The backing was coming off so it has been replaced with a piece of newer cardboard. You will love this gorgeous antique print!
