 BREATHTAKING ANTIQUE GERMAN ROSE PITCHER ~ SOLD This antique pitcher is gorgeous and I know you will love it! A crisp white background, gold trim and fabulous raised embossed scrolls and swirls make this pitcher an absolute beauty! Pretty scalloped edges grace the top and bottom of the pitcher and there is a band of delicate gold lace-like trim around the edge. The front of the pitcher is adorned with the most breathtaking bouquet of roses, violets and white flowers and the back has a smaller spray of violets. The colors of the bouquet are soft and beautiful and please note that the one large rose in the center appears more purple than pink, but it is pink in person. This beautiful pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This is a little piece of flaking paint on the back side of the rim, but it appears to be factory made. Also, the gold is worn just abit underneath the top part of the handle. This is where your finger would rest when pouring, it is not really noticeable at all. The pitcher is quite large (notice the size of it beside my huge urn) and stands just shy of 8" tall. It measures 6.5" long from the spout to the handle and 4 1/4" wide. It is marked "Germany" with other initials that include "C.T." and an eagle insignia. It is also numbered.
