This painting is reminiscent of the "Sunday" style oil paintings that were popular during the earlier part of the 1900's. This painting of beautiful roses is extremely well executed and so pretty with lovely pink, white and burgandy roses situated in a charming blue water jug. The painting is in wonderful condition and one can tell that it is old by the way it is put together ~ a piece of canvas is stretched onto a wooden frame and then nailed on with old nails. It is signed on the bottom right hand corner and framed (not under glass) in a lovely oak frame. It measures 19.5" x 15.5" and there is a string on the back for hanging.
