They are so lovely with beautiful soft pink roses scattered across the front and a wide band of elegant, gold trim. The edges are scalloped with gold trim that is worn. These plates have beautiful colors, but are a little on the shabby side as four out of the five plates have small hairline cracks. They are not very noticeable, although you may want to use these for decorating instead of for dessert. You can be the judge of that. The plates measure 6 1/8" across and are maked with "Royal Bayreuth, Bavaria" on the back. Only one has a chip under the rim.
